Primitive Beginnings

All Primitive Beginnings stacking boxes are inspired by the traditional Shaker box. Each of the three artists featured here puts her unique spin on an old craft. Anna Goodman of Maryland paints scenery detail on wood boxes made by the Amish; Barbara Kauffman of Pennsylvania stencils colonial inspired images on paper boxes, and Nancy Vissichelli of New York puts a whole new spin on her stacking boxes by using holiday inspired graphics. Each piece is original, signed by the artist, and made in the USA.
